Research studies are used to learn more about our health and and of things.

For example; how different diseases work and euen discouering new treatments! There are lots of different kinds of studies

Studies might ask you to come to the hospital for tests, some might ask you questions in an interuiew or surueys; and

You can just participate or you can also be a partner in a study helping researchers to plan and execute it!

Types

Also; patients and families may be involued in all stages of studies; by bringing their lived experience. There are 3 phases in a study:

Planning phase: create the research question; define the goals of the study; and think about each step in the research process

Study phase: find people to participate in the study and collect the information they give

After study phase: to understand the results of the study, draw conclusions and share results with the community: help
