This study investigates the impact of transparency on user perceptions in recommender systems. By conducting a user study on music recommendation platforms, we found that users prefer and feel more confident about recommendations they perceive as transparent. The findings emphasize the importance of conveying system logic to enhance user trust and satisfaction in recommendation outputs.
